You may register in person, by phone - 301-829-7998 - or online.

We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards.

 

Payment, in full, is due with your registration.

 

In general, tuition and fees are not refundable.

 

There is a $30 Service Charge for returned checks.

 

Informed Consent and Medical Information forms must be on file at Skyview before your child can be allowed to participate in classes.

 

Please register carefully.  Once your Registration has been processed, there is a $10 Change Fee for moving a child from one class to another - unless the change is initiated by a Skyview staff member.

 

You may Register any time during the Session if space is available. Tuition will be pro-rated for students enrolled after the first class of the Session.

 

MEMBERSHIP/ADMINISTRATIVE FEE:

 

In addition to Tuition, there is an Annual Membership/Administrative Fee of $50 per family.  It is NOT refundable and discounts do not apply. The Fee is pro-rated each Session for those entering later in the year.

 

Your Membership Fee helps to cover the cost of our office staff.

 

FAMILY/MULTI-CLASS DISCOUNT:

 

During the regular school year, students enrolled in more than one class receive a 10% discount on the full amount of their tuition.

 

Families enrolling more than one child (same immediate family) also receive a 10% discount on tuition.

 

As long as registration for the two classes or the two children is completed in one transaction, the discount will be taken on the entire tuition. If a class or a sibling is added at another time, the discount will be taken only on the additional tuition.

 

2018-2019 Acro Tumbling Demonstration Team:  Because the Demo Team requires an annual commitment and has an already steeply discounted price, the Family/Multi-class discount does not apply.  It is considered a Participation Fee rather than Class Tuition.   If other members of the family register, or if a Team member selects a third class per week, discounts DO apply - to everything except the Team Participation Fee.

 

AGE FOR CLASSES:

 

In the Fall and through the 2018-19 school year, the Age for Classes is determined by the child's age on August 31, 2018. In other words, your child must have had her/his third birthday before September 1, 2018 to participate in a Tumblebugs class any time during the 2018-19 school year.

 

With very few exceptions, children between 3 and 5 years old should be placed in a class designed for their age group.

 

CLASS LEVELS & SKILL EVALUATIONS for students Age 6 and up:

 

Students frequently continue in the same level of classes for more than one session or even more than one year.  Movement from one level to another is based on the recommendation of your child's class instructor or a skill evaluation by one of our staff members. A list of those approved to "move up" is maintained in the office, so if you have a question about where your child should be placed, please ask.  If your child is not on the list, the office will check with your child's instructor to confirm.

 

Parents of NEW STUDENTS with some gymnastics (acro, dance or tumbling) experience should schedule an evaluation to determine the class and appropriate level for their child.

 

MAKE-UP CLASSES:

 

During the regular school year, one make-up class per session is permitted. Arrangements must be made in advance through the Front Office. They are not transferable and may not be carried over into the next Session.

We do not allow make-up classes during the Summer.

 

SNOW CLOSINGS:

 

Skyview does not follow any local school system with regard to closing for inclement weather. Please call the Gym to find out if we are holding classes. A decision to close will be made by 8:30 am for morning classes, by 12 noon for early afternoon classes, and by 2:30 pm for classes after school and in the evening. If Skyview cancels classes, special make-up arrangements will be made.

 

APPROPRIATE ATTIRE:

 

GIRLS: leotard, hair securely pulled back away from the face, bare feet.

 

BOYS: fitted T-shirt, athletic style shorts, bare feet.

 

NO jewelry except very small pierced earrings (stud). Even those are not recommended. Wear them at your own risk. Jewelry can get caught on equipment or clothing, and is easily lost or broken in the gym.

 

NO baggy T-shirts, sweat pants or long "basketball" shorts.

 

NO belts, zippers, patch pockets, buttons, attached skirts, tutus or waist bands with ties.

 

NO fancy hair clips or plastic hair bands.

 

NO socks. NO shoes.
